The storm is any disturbed state of the atmosphere, especially affecting the Earth's surface, and strongly implying severe weather. It can be marked by arduous wind (a wind storm), thunder and lightning (a thunderstorm), heavy precipitation, such as ice (ice storm), or wind transporting a few substance through the atmosphere (as within the dust storm, snowstorm, hailstorm, etc).

Storms come created whenever the center of low pressure develops, with the formulas of high pressure surrounding it. This combination of opposing forces might produce winds & effect in the formation of storm clouds, such as a cumulonimbus.

The nonindulgent meteorological definition of a storm occurs as wind with measurements of Tenner or even higher on the Beaufort scale, meaning a wind speed of 89 km/h (55 mph) or sir thomas more; all the same, popular usage is non and so restrictive.
